In today's fast-paced digital world, having a reliable AI assistant can be a game changer. This is where Copilot steps in - offering you a suite of innovative features designed to make your life easier and more productive. Here are our top five favourite things for you to try this week with Microsoft Copilot.

1. Managing Meetings More Efficiently

Meetings 1Using Copilot in meetings can be a useful tool to generate notes and actions without all the typing, allowing you to be more present in meetings. It ensures that tasks assigned to participants and agreed-upon next steps are accurately recorded.

We recommend using prompts such as "list action items", and "recap meeting so far". Once these outputs have been generated, you can copy them into your Team notes before the end of the call.

The great thing about using Notes is that these are saved in Microsoft Loop, eliminating concern about losing meeting minutes. You also have a nice calendar view in which you can see all of your previous notes, which are also searchable.

Microsoft Loop is designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of meeting management, and a notable feature of Notes is that it allows your entire team on the call to collaborate seamlessly. Loop is one of our favourite tools for remote working, and you can learn more about it here.

These features allow for your whole team to work together simultaneously, with everyone editing and viewing content in real-time, eliminating the need for version control.

2. Pages in Copilot

"Pages" is another Loop and Copilot collaboration! Now we can ask Copilot to create us content as we normally would, for example, to help prepare for a certain meeting and there is now a new option called "Edit in Pages", which creates a Loop page that you can invite other people to collaborate with and share, making it easy to create useful documents from Copilot. Going a step further from using Loop to enhance meeting notes, this new feature makes it so much easier for you to also make useful Loops for your projects. Learn more about Pages here!

3. Learning and Development

Copilot is great at saving us time, but did you know that with your Copilot license you can also get access to Copilot training in Viva with the Microsoft Copilot Academy? This experience provides structured educational content within Viva Learning to help users learn about, discover, and use Copilot effectively.

You can also utilise the learning objects in the Copilot Academy to develop a new academy tailored to your needs. This approach allows you to preserve the essence of the Copilot Academy while also incorporating your organisation’s unique requirements.

4. Easy Meeting Scheduling

It's now easier than ever to schedule a meeting with the new 'schedule with Copilot' option. By integrating with your calendar to understand your availability, Copilot can propose suitable meeting times, send out invitations, and even reserve meeting rooms for you. This ensures that your meetings are well-organised and conflicts are minimised.

5. Summarise Files in OneDrive

Summarise MeetingCopilot in OneDrive allows you to summarise files without even opening them. This feature makes it incredibly easy to generate summaries for various types of documents, including Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, and Word documents. Whether these files are shared with you or by you, Copilot can quickly provide concise overviews, saving you time and effort in reviewing lengthy documents.
